Elke Van de Velde was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium. She studied Photography at the Antwerp Academy and received her MFA in Fashion Photography at the Sint-Lukas Brussels University College of Art and Design in Brussels in 2002, the same year she moved to the United States.
Elke's love for fashion stems from the medium's constant state of flux: The novelty and freshness of each new collection, trend and idea drives her own creative efforts. In her work, Elke strives to interpret the dream world of fashion into reality through print. She prefers a clean and pure aesthetic, one that melds beauty and high fashion with classical elements.
Elke lives in Seattle with her 2 kids.
