Michael Jones has worked across the advertising and entertainment industries for more than three decades, creating compelling imagery for some of the most recognizable names in music, film, television, and advertising.
His work spans album covers, advertising campaigns, movie posters, and key art for feature films and television series. He has also documented high-profile recording sessions featuring legendary musicians, capturing the energy and intimacy behind some of the industry’s most influential work.
More recently, Jones has brought his documentary approach to projects with a broader social impact. He has photographed Southern California’s expanding light rail systems, documenting their role in providing alternative transportation resources to communities throughout the region.
His current work with the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco includes documenting initiatives focused on homeownership and housing access. Working alongside members of Congress and community organizations, he is helping bring visibility to efforts that support homeownership in underserved communities and create greater awareness around pathways to housing for people experiencing homelessness.
