Before becoming a professional photographer, Kevin worked for years as an editor and travel writer for magazines like Outside, Men’s Journal and Adbusters. He lives in a more visual world now, but Kevin's journalistic instincts remain intact, and continue to inform his style as a photographer. He is still chasing good stories. he just do it with his camera now.
In Kevin's words: "I believe there is an inherent truth in discovered moments. That the best images are both honest and believable. Creating a powerful narrative with a distinct visual character requires meticulous planning and attention to detail, a willingness to take risks, the ability to fluidly direct dynamic sequences, and the confidence to improvise and let scenes unfold naturally. My goal is to create images that don’t just feel real, but are real."
