Stephen’s iconic work, renowned for its tight taste appeal and natural lighting style, has appeared almost everywhere you see images of food - from television, national magazines, cookbooks, packaging, international publications, and food and photography blogs, to seven seasons of Top Chef.
Stephen’s real-life approach of capturing motion and images has garnered the attention of agencies, international food companies and restaurants alike. He has appeared as a guest Quickfire Judge on Top Chef Masters, shot numerous chef-driven cookbooks, and is a sought-after authority on food photography.
Stephen has grown his photography business into a full-service production company, Stephen Hamilton Productions, which combines Stephen’s talents with those of an on-staff producer, editor, and roster of skilled photographers. Stephen’s capacious studio space in Chicago’s West Loop accommodates multiple simultaneous shoots, offering clients start-to-finish capabilities from pre-production to in-house retouching and industry-leading client service. Stephen also shoots in New York and on location.
